CatSyNanoMat researchers showcase SOREC2 project at the UAB Innovation Fair 2024

A team of members of the CatSyNanoMat research group at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) participated in the 2024 edition of the UAB Innovation Fair, held at the Hotel EXE campus last October 15th. The event, which is part of the Innovation Week, provided a platform for researchers to connect with other research groups as well as companies, startups, and investors.

The CatSyNanoMat team, who is part of the SOREC2 project, presented an overview of their research activities, highlighting their work within the SOREC2 project. They showcased samples of their catalysis work and a reproduction of a photoelectrochemical cell similar to the ones used in their laboratory to test catalysts, allowing the attendees to gain a better understanding of the practical application of their research.

“The Innovation Fair has been an opportunity for us to show our research to companies and technological centres and try to find synergies between their needs and our capacity to find innovative solutions. The SOREC2 project was one of the works that generated more interest among our stand visitors”, said Carolina Gimbert, associate professor of the Chemistry department of the UAB and Work Package 3 group leader of SOREC2 project.
