SOREC2 presented at the BIQOTE2024

Axel Guinart, a researcher from the CatSyNanoMat group at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and member of the SOREC2 project team, attended the XXIXth Biannual Meeting of Organic Chemistry (BIQOTE2024). The Real Sociedad Española de Química organized the event, which took place in Tenerife (Canary Islands) from June 26-28, 2024 .On 27th June, Guinart presented the latest results of his research in a flash talk and a poster on developing a copper-based complex for hybrid silicon dioxide (SiO2) materials capable of water oxidation.

Guinart’s presentation, titled Cu-complex for Hybrid SiO2 Materials Active Towards Water Oxidation, detailed the synthesis of novel molecular compounds used to create an inorganic-organic silicon film with the ability to oxidize water and featured the advancement of his research work within the SOREC2 initiative.
